Can’t Steal My Joy

FINDING JOY IN DIFFICULT TIMES

It seems like every day we have been faced with another disheartening news headline: racial injustice, rioting, and the continuation of challenges brought on by a pandemic. So why are we in a collection discussing joy? With the many heavy issues going on in the world today, it's ok to be angry and sad. But the Bible teaches us it’s possible to grieve and rejoice at the same time. In this collection we'll be digging into what the book of Philippians teaches us about managing this tension and finding the joy that Jesus offers us even in the midst of difficult times.

Joy is a choice we can make even in the hard moments. This summer, we're choosing joy.

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS COLLECTION:

  1. Church Online — Join us online at sozo.co/live every Sunday at 10:30am PDT for the latest installment of the teaching series. Engage in worship, participate in the chat and take notes.

  2. Daily Devotions (S.O.A.P.) — Dedicate a few minutes each day for a time of prayer, worship and reflection. Use the Can’t Steal My Joy Devotional to help guide you during this time.

  3. Praise & Worship — We believe praise is one of the greatest sources of joy that can influence our attitudes and perspectives. We’ve put together a playlist of joy-filled worship songs to help lift your spirit and put a pep in your step.
